As part of Australia’s most sustainable commercial precinct at Barangaroo, we continually seek innovative ways to enhance the wellbeing of our tenant community in line with our commitment to sustainability.
We have an ongoing partnership with CandleXchange to deliver a variety of engaging and eco-friendly initiatives. This collaboration is built on our shared commitment to responsible procurement, waste reduction, and tenant engagement, creating a meaningful impact within our community.
Why CandleXchange?
We chose CandleXchange as our partner because of their strong commitment to sustainability and community impact. Their circular economy approach, through the Return & Swap and UpCandle programs, aligns perfectly with our values, promoting reuse and waste reduction. We’ve seen incredible tenant engagement, with high participation in sustainability activations, making it easy to integrate their initiatives into our workplace events and corporate gifting. Most importantly, this partnership has delivered measurable waste reduction and landfill diversion, reinforcing our dedication to sustainability, inclusion, and responsible procurement.
Sustainability and Engagement in Action
Through our partnership with CandleXchange, we have introduced a range of sustainability-driven initiatives that enhance community engagement and create a more purpose-driven workplace. Our tenant activations, including events for Earth Hour, World Refill Day, National Recycling Week, International Day of Peace, and Christmas, have fostered awareness and participation in environmental efforts.
We’ve also hosted candle-making workshops, offering interactive experiences that inspire creativity and reinforce sustainable practices. Our corporate gifting solutions, such as those for Amica rewards and the 12 Days of Giving, provide thoughtful, eco-friendly alternatives.
Additionally, our UpCandle sponsorship encourages the reuse and donation of used candles, directly supporting domestic violence charities. Over 2,300 upcycled candles have been donated to survivors of domestic violence, refugees, and other vulnerable individuals.

To make sustainability even more accessible, we introduced a retail pop-up store, allowing tenants to conveniently purchase and swap sustainable candle products. These initiatives not only reduce waste and landfill diversion but also strengthen our commitment to a greener, more connected community.
