Join our International Men's Day with mental health expert and founder of Mongrels Men Health & Wellbeing, Tim Hewson, to learn practical steps for improving men's physical and mental health.
Learn how to keep yourself and wellbeing healthy, along with looking after your mates, and the role masculinity plays in men’s mental health. This session aims to raise awareness of men's well-being, with men on average dying 6 years earlier than women.
When: 12pm Tuesday 19 November
Key Takeaways
Building Healthy Communities: Discovery why community and connection are so important, why it’s a lifeline and where to find it.
Look out for Your Mates: We’re shifting the narrative from 'Man Up' to 'Speak Up', normalising conversations about mental health to help reduce stigma, and learning how to have more meaningful conversations with each other.
Take Action, Stay Healthy: The importance of movement and physical activity is linked with physical health and mental health. Let's treat talking about mental health like we do physical health.
Creating a Healthier Future: Creating supportive environments by giving men the knowledge, tools and skills to support themselves and others through improved self-care and wellbeing.
