How can we fast-track gender parity in 2025?

A crucial point in working towards full gender parity is to recognise how—in line with the 2025 International Women's Day theme — we can accelerate action.
If you haven't heard the news, we've joined forces with Elizabeth Arden for International Women's Day. Why? The Elizabeth Arden was a staunch advocate of women's rights, and the brand has been fighting the good fight since the first suffragette march in 1912.

To kick things off, we challenged you to share your boldest ideas for fast-tracking gender parity. The prize? A cool 10-piece beauty set from Elizabeth Arden valued at $532.
Well, your responses didn't disappoint—we received an enormous amount of enlightening wisdom we couldn't possibly keep to ourselves. Here are our top five favourite responses:
- Don't be shy. Call out inequity.
- Education around "The Mental Load" disparity (predominately women take on the majority
of the mental load in heterosexual relationships). Women are now expected to carry the
responsibility to manage the household, while also working in paid employment. - Create safe spaces: Foster a workplace culture where everyone feels safe and respected.
This includes regular, engaging anti-harassment training that goes beyond the basics,
encouraging open conversations about respect and boundaries. - Challenge stereotypes at every level, from classrooms to corporate boardrooms. We should
encourage all children, regardless of gender, to explore a wide range of subjects and
careers. Breaking down these gendered expectations from an early age sets the stage for
more diverse career paths and greater gender equality later in life. - Understand that equality is not the same as equity.
Thank you to all who submitted an entry! We hope they inspire you to accelerate action.
