BRAD Banish Recycling and Diversion Program

Written by International Towers | Nov 5, 2024 12:36:43 AM

Did you know that only 4% of the plastic that has ever been made has been recycled?

International Towers has recently introduced the Banish Recycling and Disposal (BRAD) program in its Tower Two and Tower Three North Lobbies, providing tenants and visitors with an easy, accessible way to recycle hard-to-process items. Through the BRAD bins, participants can dispose of items like empty toothpaste tubes, beauty product containers, and old stationery, which are then responsibly recycled instead of ending up in landfills.

This initiative was created by Lottie Dalziel, a passionate sustainability advocate and founder of Banish.

Since launching in 2018, Lottie has made significant strides in environmental advocacy.

In 2023, she was named NSW Young Australian of The Year, a testament to her impact in driving sustainability awareness and change in Australia. She has also been listed in Forbes’ 30 Under 30 for her contributions to sustainability and entrepreneurship.

Her vision with Banish goes beyond providing sustainable products; she aims to educate and inspire communities through platforms like her podcast Sustainability Further and her TEDx talks, which emphasise the power of collective action in fighting climate change.

With the BRAD program now available at International Towers, tenants can join Lottie’s mission to reduce waste and make a positive impact. This partnership is a step forward for sustainability, helping individuals and businesses manage their waste responsibly and make strides toward a greener future.
